Lisa L. Williams is a U.S. Navy Veteran, PMI Certified Project Management Professional and Management Consultant Professional with demonstrated leadership skills and enjoys a career helping individuals, teams, and organizations maximize their performance. She is recognized as a motivator and mentor, organizational management, acquisition integration, and strategic organizational change.

She is currently a Community Planning and Development (CPD) Specialist at the Department of Housing and Development. In this role, she researches and advises CPD staff on Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) policy, management resources and procedural requirements to be followed in fulfilling HUD’s program responsibilities. Key accomplishments in this role include:

  • Developed and produced two virtual conferences for CDBG-CV (COVID) Grantee education which served over 11,000 participants
  • Moderated the 2021 conference
  • Managed behind the scenes technical assistance for presenters and participants in the 2022 conference
  • Conducted regular check-ins with Technical Assistance Providers to ensure prompt development of conference modules.

Lisa is actively involved in local politics since her first foray into politics working as one of two paid staffers for Donna F. Edwards in 2006. Since then, she has been an advocate for her community from preventing a liquor store from moving into her neighborhood via collaboration with her State Delegate, to volunteering in several local campaigns. Lisa is a politically appointed volunteer on the Prince George’s Commission for Veterans; she is currently the Chairwoman of the Commission.

Adept at developing exceptional stakeholder relationships through a careful diligence that is based on both formal education and practical experience. She successfully creates strategies and interventions to improve organizational relationships, culture alignment, stakeholder management, employee engagement and leadership.

Lisa is expert at quickly and successfully responding to ever-changing environments and situations, known for strong client focus, level of enthusiasm for affecting business success, systemic thinking, and strong relationship building, always demonstrating integrity while projecting a positive personal and professional image.

Lisa was born in California and was adopted into a Marine Corps family. She spent her first two years in California, next three in Hawaii and when she was five, the family finally settled in Sedalia Missouri. She was stationed in Washington, DC in 1988. She is a mom of two adult daughters and grandmother to two grandsons. She has an B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a M.A. in Organizational Sciences from The George Washington University.
